Sparkling Packaging

Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice is a favorite, non-alcoholic option to toast special occasions and many traditional holidays. Welch’s was ready to extend their distribution and sales beyond that period, and into a wider range of occasions.

Bailey first identified a number of marketable opportunities, such as New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, Spring/Summer picnic season, 4th of July, and Halloween. A full-body shrink wrap concept was developed as a flexible, efficient solution for using inventory. Finally, eye-catching seasonal graphics, with whimsical illustrations, were designed to stand out in retail environments, especially among the other juices and seasonal items on shelf.

The results were something to celebrate! The “Nutcracker” shrink-wrapped design for the holiday season helped Sparkling domestic sales top the 1 million case mark for the first time.
